Halloween 2013!

I LOVE decorating for Fall/Halloween! Our Monster Door was a BIG hit with the neighbors! So were our cute little pumpkins. Jaren carved a pretty cool minion!

You'll never guess what we were for Halloween.... hehe. Us and everyone else in the ward, practically!! It was awesome. We're not even big Harry Potter fans.. but we had the perfect costumes lying around just in time for the ward party. haha! We have such awesome friends who put up with me and my picture-taking obsession :) Happy Halloween!

"Wegas"

 The day before I flew out to Las Vegas for Grandma's 80th Birthday Bash, I found a pretty cool PF Changs fortune cookie... Girl's Night in Vegas anyone!? haha totally kidding, we didn't go to The Outback. But we DID have a lot of fun!!!

I even met a wacky, senior citizen from Kenya who hit on me (in front of his wife) and kept saying, "What happens in Wegas, stays in Wegas!" with a wink and elbow nudge and a thick accent. Barf. But it was the reason for the "Wegas" joke for the rest of the trip.

Oh, and my bed partner: Jill. Apparently, when this mamma is away from her kids, she likes to party. Like wake-ya-up-and-dance-to-Elvis kind of party. 

The Crapes at the Paris Hotel were soo yummy! We also went to Le Reve show! My fav... If I could, I'd take a weekend vacation to LV, see as many shows as possible, and turn around and go home!!! SOOOO cool! I've always had a secret desire to be a gymnast/acrobat for the circus. Am I crazy!?! 

It was such a fun trip. Viva Las Wegas!!! And Grandma B :) We love her!

2 Years!

They have FLOWN by. It feels like we've only been married 6 months... guess time flies when you're having fun! Our anniversary weekend started with watching Alli and her team play at SLCC. She's so fun to watch! And to take pics of :) We LUV Alvin!!! Wish we could see her more! 

Then, we walked around City Creek and Temple Square just for kicks. I love my little model :) And I LOVE my anni flowers complete with the sweetest note ever. And check out that bomb shirt my man has on! We went out on a surprise dinner date to celebrate 2 whole years!

He took me to Christopher's - a SUPER fancy steakhouse in Draper. I LOVED it! We highly recommend it and the Filet Mignon. MMM! And point of the mountatin selfies; It's what happens when I get bored on the way to SLC. Jaren makes fun of me because I do this every single time we head north. I had no idea where we were going for our anniversary dinner, so I just started snapping pics to pass the time :)

No anniversary's an anniversary without an Instagram shout-out! I love my boo! Can't wait for the many more anniversaries to come! MWAH. 

Conference Weekend

It was a full house at Janna and Jeff's! Jeni, Cameron, and Callie came down, and so did Mark, Summer and their three little kids. Mark helped them build an AWESOME deck out back! They worked on it all weekend during and in between conference sessions. They even watched a big football game through the windows while they worked in the afternoon. Boys.. sheesh!
Tanner was just keeping my feet warm while I took notes. I think he likes me now.
We love conference - I had been praying to hear a few things in particular, and of course, we heard exactly what we needed to hear. It's funny how much I enjoy conference now that I'm older. I can't wait for it to roll around, and not just for the yummy treats and snacks! But you better believe we had some of that, too! I have been using my new camera a ton and love taking pictures of anything and everything! Even the pooches. And poor Oscar.. you can really see his sick shoulder lately :(

We made thEE most beautiful carmel apples. And then staged them for pictures, duh. Callie loved the apples too! And we loved taking her picture. We can't get enough of that girl lately! SO grateful for modern day revelation, and for awesome family!
